Youth Mental Health First Aid Lite (Accredited Course)

Our half day Youth Mental Health First Aid Lite (MHFA) course is aimed at anyone who works with, lives with or supports young people aged 8 - 18. We train the adults in a young person's life to have the skills and confidence to step in, offer fist aid and guide them towards the support they need.

It is designed to give an awareness of:

  • Some of the common mental health issues affecting young people - i.e. depression, anxiety, eating disorders, psychosis
  • Skills to work more effectively with young people living with mental health issues
  • Ways to support young people with a mental health issue and relate to their experiences
  • A taste of the contents of the Youth MHFA Two Day course

This will be held on 8th May 2019, 9.00am - 12.00pm at St John's CE Primary School (Johnson St, Radcliffe, M26 1AW). Please park on the roadside and use the upper gate, avoiding the main entrance.

This course is FREE for staff in schools being supported within the SSIF project. Please email Lynsey Silcock: btsaadmin@ccmat.co.uk to reserve your place.

Please contact us if you would like to attend and are not within an SSIF school.
