Bury Schools Alliance (BSA) delivers high quality training and professional development for teachers at all stages of their career. Whether you are a graduate wanting to train to be a teacher or an experienced practitioner; a subject specialist or an aspiring leader, you will find a course relevant to you. Woven through our wide-ranging programme of activities is a shared vision to change the lives of all the pupils we teach.
We also offer courses in response to locally identified training needs. We have listened to feedback from consultations with staff, local schools, BEST Trust and the BSLC and have responded by creating courses that develop the needs of staff, at all levels, within schools. We have been approached by schools to create and deliver whole school training, such as De-Escalation Training and Working with Learning Support Assistants, as a response to school development planning. This enables all school staff to attend training, which has been identified as a priority and focus within the school, at a time most convenient for the school and staff.
We are happy to create bespoke training programmes or short courses to suit the needs and training priorities of individual schools. Schools may choose to commission training individually or as part of a small cluster of schools which will further aid cost effectiveness. Whatever the training need, whether a short course, or a pick and mix package to address various training needs, we are able to create and facilitate this at a time to suit you and your staff.
