Strand 2: Effective pupil premium strategies
- 42 schools (29 primary, 11 secondary, 1 special secondary, 1 PRU) are involved as receiving support. 25 of these meet the eligibility criteria for the funding.
- 8 Pupil Premium Reviewers have been engaged, and we have developed a Bury model.
- Schools collaborate in Learning Threes to support each other's reviews.
- Pupil premium reviews took place mainly during the autumn term 2018, and some are be this term.
- The report for each review is written by the lead reviewer, and will be the property of the school to use as they wish.
- Mental Health First Aid training programme has provided two 2-day courses, to which a total of 47 schools have sent delegates. There was also a series of half-day Mental Health Lite courses.
- We are establishing a Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy Group, to support the roll-out of learning from this experience, to benefit staff and pupils in Bury schools.
- Further mental health training includes Advanced Mental Health and Early Trauma, further Mental Health Lite training, Mindfulness and Peer Massage. More detail to follow.
